Manuel Romero is the President and Chair of the Board of Directors of Grupo Romero, one of the most longstanding and influential business groups in Peru and Latin America, with more than 135 years of history and operations spanning financial services, consumer goods, infrastructure, and energy, with a presence across multiple countries in the Americas.

    He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Prior to his current role, Manuel held senior executive positions at Alicorp, a leading consumer goods company in Peru with operations across Latin America, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and later as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

    He currently serves on several boards, including Banco de Crédito BCP, Peru’s largest financial institution, and has chaired or served as a board member across infrastructure, energy, and retail businesses.
