The Rivera Brothers: Inside the Engine of Emerging Markets

    Fernando is co-head of Latin America and head of Investment Banking for Latin America. He is also a member of the the Infrastructure and Real Asset Finance (IRAF) Group within the Capital Solutions Group. Fernando is a member of the Partnership Committee, Retirement Committee, Global Banking & Markets Collateralized Investing Capital Committee, and the International Office Heads Group. He also serves as global sponsor for the Hispanic/Latinx Network. Prior to his current role, Fernando was global co-head of FICC Sales Strats and Structuring, head of Americas Emerging Markets
Regional Sales, and co-head of Latin America Structured Credit Trading and Lending. Before that, he served as head of the FICC Americas Structuring and Solutions Group. Fernando joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 2006 and was named managing director in 2012 and partner in
2022.

    Prior to joining the firm, Fernando was part of the Financial Institutions Derivatives Marketing team for Latin America at JPMorgan for two years. Fernando serves as a national board member for the Council of Urban Professionals. Fernando earned a BBA in Finance and Economics from Loyola University in 2004.
