Claudio Ferrero is a Harvard Law School graduate and a Partner in the Mining practice at a leading Peruvian law firm, specializing in transactional mining matters. He has extensive experience structuring and negotiating M&A and financings for mining companies and projects, as well as advising on corporate and mining regulatory matters. Claudio counsels on the design of corporate structures that align contractual, tax, and economic interests, and has significant experience obtaining permits and administrative licenses—including negotiating agreements with local communities to support project development and operations. His practice also covers privatization processes, legal stability agreements, and foreign investment matters. Throughout his career, he has served as in-house counsel at one of the world’s largest copper mining projects in Latin America, as an international lawyer at a leading global law firm in New York and at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington, D.C.
