    Carolina Hernández is a Principal Product Manager at Microsoft, where she leads strategic initiatives for AI-powered user experiences in Windows. With over 16 years at Microsoft, Carolina has been at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into products that serve billions of users worldwide, with a particular focus on how AI can transform productivity and accessibility.

    Currently, Carolina drives product strategy and development for Windows AI experiences. She has led cross-functional teams in developing innovative AI capabilities such as Recall, Click-to-Do, and Live Captions. Her work bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and intuitive user experiences that deliver measurable productivity gains.

    Carolina's leadership extends beyond product development to encompass accessibility innovation and strategic decision-making. As the leader for Windows Accessibility, she drove multiple improvements to Windows assistive tools ensuring Windows empowers users of all abilities. Her expertise spans the complete product lifecycle, from vision and strategy to execution and growth optimization with inclusive innovation and accessibility as core design principles.

    As Co-Chair of HOLA, Microsoft's Hispanic and Latinx Inclusion Network, Carolina advances diversity in technology by expanding the LatinX professional community at Microsoft and championing their unique perspectives in product development to drive inclusive innovation that reflects the needs of diverse global users.

    Carolina holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of the Ability Summit Technical Excellence Award (2019) and was nominated for the Leadership Advocacy Ability Award at Microsoft (2017). Her innovation in accessibility and user experience is reflected in multiple patents, including advances in screen reader technology and responsive design.

    Outside of work, Carolina is an accomplished endurance athlete with multiple Ironman triathlons and marathons under her belt, often combining her passion for running with fundraising for meaningful causes. When not training or working on cutting-edge AI features, she loves to travel and spend time with family. Carolina lives in Seattle with her husband Andrés, embodying the same perseverance and commitment in her personal life as she brings to transforming technology for users worldwide.
